OK, well this is going to be a longish one.
I haven't posted in a couple weeks because it was the holiday week and a lot seemed to be going down.
I started training at my new job and things have been going well. I had my first full shift today. I thought that we would be swamped with newcomers fresh off the "Resolutions" bandwagon, but no. I think maybe they will wait until Monday. That's ok, it was still kinda busy. It made the time pass quickly. It was pretty easy and no drama like my last workplace. In fact, people are actually happpy, even at 8 am when they come in to work out.
That was today at the job. Yesterday, I jumped into the cool Pacific with my new coworkers-- Polar Bear Swim 2010!! My boss kinda threw at me the ol "It would go a long way for a new employee to join in..." guilt speech. I did think it was a good idea being the new girl, but also I wanted to start the new year fresh and with a new experience. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. There was a torrential downpour on the walk to the beach that was the awful part. Most people were already soaked long before they hit the beach. Once there, we stripped down and jumped in. It was cold, but once we were out the air was actually warm. Plus 10 I think. So, we jumped in a second time!
It's all about being crazy and doing the new and unexpected this year! haha
So, on that note, here was today's leg workout. I need to push these stems to turn them into strong trunks so hence the numerous exercises and maximum numbers I hit. It will all only get higher and better...

Leg Press: max weight ~ 200 lbs

Happy New Year! Polar bear swim sounds good. You need a waterproof camera to document these events!
Congrats on your new employment.
