Spring and Summer have passed this blog by, and I am feeling the itch to write again.
Actually, I am feeling the itch to do a great many things. The first of which is compete. I am back in training to do a show next year. But this time, no bikini girl do I plan to be. I wish to take the stage in the Figure class. More muscle this means. So gym, eat, gym, eat and rest rest rest: that is what is in store for the next 14 months. (Process pictures to follow soon.)
At the same time. I will continue doing my Nutrition course. It's now been 9 months. I've completed the basics in macro/micro nutrients, diets, physiology and anatomy, nutrition for the mind, nutrition for diabetes/atherosclerosis/arthritis, and am halfway through a book on intuitive healing. It's all been really interesting. The most trying part has been the case studies. I've had to complete 12 so far. This meant getting friends/family to fill out forms about their health and then assessing what they can do diet and lifestyle-wise to get truly balanced. It's putting all that I have learned thus far together. I think I am really getting it. But I do have to say that what is drawing me in the most is the lifestyle/spirit part of it. I, myself, know that diet and exercise can only do so much, but if you don't have that inner strength and peace it can all be lost. I really want to help others find that which has often eluded me.
So I look forward to continuing on in this learning process. I am excited about what lies ahead and what the end of it may bring.
In the meantime, I am my first working case study. It's trial and error really, a whole lot of it actually. Test and tweak. Live and learn.
