Snow and Santa and Stress, oh my! Yes, 'tis the season for all. And as it is upon us, we do our best to find silver linings to the snow, try to minimize the stress, and hope to the powers that be that Santa will be good to us.
So far, I've kept stress at bay by completing Christmas shopping early and not getting swept up in others' frenzy. I have found that though snow in Vancouver brings about stuck cars and slow traffic, it also brings out good samaritans willing to shovel me out of a parking lot. As for Santa, well, I still have to wait and see.
In regards to training, it is going -- okaay... I am doing it, and I am sore. But I feel like I should be getting more intense with it. I don't know. Could be the season, with all the distractions and such. I have caught up with friends not seen for too long. And though I've been watchful of what I eat, I haven't been completely spot on. Excuses. Excuses! The truly dedicated don't wander, don't stray from the path to the prize. At the moment, I will honestly say though that I am not going to stress too much about it over the next week. I will enjoy my time with my family AND put pleasure and heart into my training -- all of it!
And come January... It. Is. On. Training mode.
