Finally free of the enormous burden called 'work' (for those who don't know, I gave my notice last Friday), I found myself with a bit of a bounce to my step today. So it wasn't really a struggle to get to the gym at day's end.
I skipped my workout yesterday. Lazy rainy Sunday, ya know. So I am playing a bit of catch up. Today I trained legs. The following is what the almost 90 minutes was composed of.
Warmup:
Supersets of leg extensions and lying leg curls. 4 sets of 20 each at a light weight.
Squats:
2 warmup sets with bar only
1 set 10 reps @ 10 lbs + bar
1 set 6 reps @ 20 lbs + bar
1 set 6 reps @ 25 lbs + bar
Leg Press:
2 warmup sets @ 110 lbs
1 set 8 reps @ 150 lbs
1 set 6 reps @ 170 lbs
1 set 6 reps @ 175 lbs
Front Squats:
2 warmup sets with bar only (Smith Machine)
1 set 10 reps @ 10 lbs
1 set 6 reps @ 15 lbs
1 set 6 reps @ 20 lbs
Deadlifts:
2 warmup sets with bar only
1 set 10 reps @ 10 lbs + bar
1 set 9 reps @ 20 lbs + bar
1 set 9 reps @ 20 lbs + bar
Lying leg curl:
3 sets 6 reps @ 30 lbs
Seated leg curl:
1 set 10 reps @ 75 lbs
2 sets 10 reps @ 82.5 lbs
Standing calf raises:
3 sets 10 reps @ 80 lbs
I am certainly pooped now. I think I will sleep well. :)
